Not Again! Alexis Sanchez Named Pep Guardiola’s First Signing At Manchester City

Alexis Sanchez

Pep Guardiola has apparently told his old colleague Txiki Begristain that he will make Alexis Sanchez his first incoming player when he takes over the reigns at Manchester City. According to Spanish outlet Fichajes, Guardiola has told City to make Arsenal’s Sanchez his first signing at the club.

With Manuel Pellegirni showing inconsistency in a star studded Manchester City team, it is speculated that he will be let go at the end of the season and the former Barcelona boss will be taking over. Pep has been very vague about his interest in terms of extending his stay at Bayern and so far has not committed to anything. This has encouraged the blue side of Manchester to race for the signature of one of the most coveted managers.

Guardiola is apparently interested in joining up with his old colleagues who are at Manchester City and would like to increase that list by bringing in his old signing Alexis Sanchez. He was the one to bring Sanchez to Barcelona from Udinese and would love to repeat the same feat in the English Premier League. Given the circumstances and the events in the last five to six years, it is very much possible that Sanchez will land up in Manchester City, a club who has a history of enticing players away from Arsenal.
