Next Anthony Martial? Manchester United Officials Sent To Keep Tabs On Two Super Youngsters

There is no doubt that European games are the perfect opportunity for big teams to monitor young players or potential targets and their performances at the top level. As the youngsters play away from the league, it allows scouts to see them flourish in a totally different environment than their usual ones, against teams that are not really used to playing against regularly.

Over the weekend, one such game was the one between Anderlecht and Monaco, with a total of five Premier League teams, including scouts from Manchester United said to be present in Belgium for the game.

The Red Devils already signed Anthony Martial from Monaco this summer and could now be monitoring a new set of targets for the future.

Two such young stars across the continent who were playing in the game on Thursday night were Youri Tielemans of Anderlecht and Bernardo Silva of Monaco.

The 18 year old Anderlecht midfielder, Tielemans, was also wanted by Arsenal, though Louis van Gaal’s side are all set to make a move for him, as a future replacement for the ageing Schweinsteiger and Carrick.

Further, 21-year-old Silva was superb for Portugal’s U21 side in the summer during the U21 Euro Championships. Though they lost to Sweden in the final, Portugal beat Germany’s youth side 5-0 in the semis, a game in which the Monaco star scored.

What happens next remains to be seen, as the Dutchman has spend his money wisely till now, it can be said.
