Mystery Tweet From Spanish International Causes Havoc

Spanish and Real Madrid Midfielder Xabi Alonso has created a Twitter havoc by accidently tweeting a private message to his 3.4 million fans about a potential new signing at Real Madrid.
They say footballers arent the brightest, well Alonso have proved it once again. However the midfielder has deleted the tweet that has sparked the debate among Twitter users in the last couple of days.

The Tweet said: “I will tell Mou to consider you, and that way raise the standard of dressing-room”

The statement was further twisted when Spanish press Mundo Deportivo, which claimed the Tweet was intended to three possible recipients including Chelsea’s in form Juan Mata, City’s David Silva and Bilbao’s Fernando Llorente.

The Spanish newspaper poinet out that in order to send a direct message Alonso needs to be ‘following’ the recipient, with Silva, Mata and Llorente on the list of 266 people whose tweets he recieves, along with the likes of Chelsea midfielder Yossi Benayoun and Atletico Madrid’s Juanfran.

Among-st the three players who are likely being targeted by Mourinho(according to Xabi), David Silva is highly unlikely as the Spaniard penned a new five year deal with Manchester City in September.

Meanwhile Mata is in no hurry to leave Stamford Bridge as he has proved equally invaluable to Chelsea since joining from Los Che in 2011, and player is part of the reigning Champions league winners.

Llorente could be the one for whom the Tweet was originally intended. The striker has been linked with a move away from Bilbao for sometime now and having turned down the offer of a contract extension over the summer, Madrid could be his destination. However given Madrid’s attacking strength with the likes of Benzema and Higuain, Mourinho is unlikely to buy another striker.

The Tweet indeed looks like a mystery which is deleted by the player and probably disconnected his phone to avoid calls from a not so happy manager and a sorry agent.
