Murty To Make 1 Major Change – Predicted 4-1-2-1-2 Rangers Line-Up To Face Hibernian

Predicted Rangers Line-up To Face Hibernian In The Scottish Premiership

Rangers just about clawed their way to victory at Ibrox at the weekend against a team managed by a man probably not overly enamoured with the club. Now they head to Easter Road looking to do the same thing again as they go to war with Neil Lennon’s Hibernian.

Although mostly forgotten or not even noticed by the general media and football world, Rangers fans will very much remember the comments of Steven Whittaker for one who joined Hibs in the summer and talked about challenging Aberdeen, Hearts and St. Johnstone for second place without any mention of his former club, as though to wind Rangers up about not being good enough.

As those comments have a habit of doing, they’ve somewhat bitten Whittaker on the backside as predictably, Hibs sit behind Rangers at this stage, though it adds a bit of spice to this game.

Lee Wallace and Graham Dorrans will still be missing for a little while yet, plus Ryan Jack’s silly tackle at Aberdeen means he is still suspended for this clash. Alfredo Morelos made a return to goalscoring form from the bench against Ross County and may merit a start now in a 4-1-2-1-2 formation:

Formation: 4-1-2-1-2

Manager: Graeme Murty

GK – Wes Foderingham

The regular ‘keeper continues and will be hoping for a quiet night at the Leith San Siro.

RB – James Tavernier

Scoring twice against Aberdeen should have reinvigorated him as a forward going proposition and his contributions from the right wing will be vital.

CB – Bruno Alves

Has taken the departure of Pedro Caixinha well and is helping the likes of Ross McCrorie along.

Bruno Alves

CB – Danny Wilson

The centre-back has scored in a couple of games recently and must be full of confidence now.

LB – Declan John

Lee Wallace’s stand-in has done the job very well and should start once more at left-back.

DM – Ross McCrorie

Nominally a centre-back, the young player has shown class and versatility recently and should start again here.

RCM – Daniel Candeias

May enjoy Morelos’ return as he is a good target to aim for up front.

CAM – Carlos Pena

Definitely has the talent at this level and will be a danger to Hibs in breaking from this position.

Alfredo Morelos

LCM – Josh Windass

May move into this position in what could be a very attack-minded line-up.

ST – Kenny Miller

Another trip to a former club for Miller, who would love to silence the boo-boys on the night.

ST – Alfredo Morelos

Having been rested somewhat, Morelos should get a new lease of life now and will be a dangerous presence on the field.
