Predicted Rangers Lineup To Face Falkirk In The Scottish Cup
Rangers will look to advance in the Scottish Cup when they take on Falkirk in the quarterfinals on Sunday at the Ibrox stadium.
The Gers have been in very good form coming into the game, having registered five wins in a row, with the latest being a 4-1 win over St. Johnstone at the McDiarmid Park in the midweek. Manager Graeme Murty will be hoping to make it six victories in a row with a win over the second division club at home.
Team News
Murty will go into the game without the services of Graham Dorrans, Jordan Rossiter and Ross McCrorie while January arrival Jamie Murphy is also likely to be sidelined as well due to an injury he picked up in the midweek. Left-back Declan John’s absence will be a major blow for the Gers but captain Lee Wallace is fit again and could be set for a return. Midfielder Ryan Jack has been ruled out for the season, while Bruno Alves is fit again but is unlikely to be involved.

The Englishman is the undisputed first-choice for the Light Blues and that should stay the same for the weekend’s cup encounter.
James Tavernier (RB)
The right-back has been one of the Gers’ most consistent players this season and scored a goal in the midweek. He will look to further impress against the second division opponent.
David Bates (CB)
In the heart of the defence, David Bates is expected to start once again. Hasn’t looked all that convincing at times and will be keen on stamping his authority.
Russell Martin (CB)
The on-loan Norwich City defender has settled in well with the Scottish outfit since his January move. Will be hoping to get a clean sheet with a solid performance at the back.
Andy Halliday (LB)
With Declan John ruled out and Lee Wallace only returning to full fitness, Murty is likely to go with Andy Halliday at left-back once again.
Daniel Candeias (RW)
The Portuguese winger works really hard on the right-hand side but hasn’t been able to find the back of the net in recent games. Will be keen on changing that in the cup tie.
Greg Docherty (CM)
The young midfielder has been quite brilliant since his winter window move to the Ibrox. Will look to play an important role on Sunday to help his team through to the next stages.
Sean Goss (CM)
The loanee from QPR has quietly established himself as a key player for the Gers in a short span of time. Having scored in the midweek, he will be high on confidence.
Josh Windass (LW)
The Englishman has been the in-form player for the Light Blues and got himself on the scoresheet again in the midweek. With Jamie Murphy likely to miss out, he could move to the left flank on Sunday.
Jason Cummings (ST)
The 22-year-old striker, on loan from Nottingham Forest, did not start against the Saints but could be given the nod this weekend.
Alfredo Morelos (ST)
The Colombian striker’s future was clouded with doubts amidst offers from the cash-rich Chinese Super League. However, with the transfer window in China now closed, he will look to focus on his game and fire his side to the semi-finals.
