Moyes to field an unchanged XI – Predicted 3-4-2-1 West Ham United lineup to face Watford

Predicted West Ham United Lineup To Face Watford In The Premier League

West Ham United will have to welcome a high-flying Watford side to the London Stadium on Saturday after enduring a 3-1 loss to Brighton. The Hammers have blown hot and cold ever since David Moyes took charge but with the season set to end in a matter of a few months, it is high time for the Hammers to pull up their socks and get down to business. A win against Watford will be of utmost importance for the club but can they beat Javi Gracia’s men?

Team News

Moyes continues to have quite a number of key players out with injuries. Marko Arnautovic is expected to return this weekend but nothing is confirmed as of now. Manuel Lanzini, Andy Carroll, Edimilson Fernandes and Pedro Obiang are all out for the near future. Meanwhile, Arthur Masuaku is yet to finish serving his six-game ban so he will sit this one out as well.

Possible West Ham United XI To Face Watford

Formation: 3-4-2-1

Manager: David Moyes

Adrian (GK)

Considering how Watford demolished Chelsea, Adrian will have to sharpen his reflexes, be alert and hopefully push for a clean sheet.

Angelo Ogbonna (CB)

Ogbonna will have yet another important role to play in the heart of the defence and it is imperative for him to do well against the Hornets.

James Collins (CB)

Collins can often make some well-timed clearances and interceptions to keep trouble at bay and Moyes will be counting on him to do just that on Saturday.

James Collins

Declan Rice (CB)

Rice has worked well alongside the likes of Ogbonna and Collins and it will be interesting to see how the trio fares against a resurgent Watford attack.

Aaron Cresswell (LWB)

Cresswell continues to be a reliable presence on the left-hand side but he often struggles while surging forward during counter-attacking situations.

Sam Byram (RWB)

Much like Cresswell, Byram has been a consistent figure on the right-hand side and he will have quite a task at hand to keep the Watford attackers at bay.

Pablo Zabaleta (CM)

Although he has been playing out of position, Zabaleta has done quite decently in the heart of the midfield, making it likely for Moyes to deploy him there once more.

Mark Noble (CM)

Noble often puts up a calm and reassuring display in central midfield and he will have to work extra hard to shield his team’s defence against Watford.

Mark Noble

Cheikhou Kouyate (RAM)

Kouyate’s creativity and pace will prove to be vital in breaking a sturdy Watford backline apart, thus making it likely for Moyes to hand him a start.

Joao Mario (LAM)

Mario played quite well against Palace and he seemed like he’d formed a solid partnership with Hernandez. If the duo can get its name on the scoresheet, the Hammers will definitely enjoy an edge.

Javier Hernandez (ST)

In their recent game against Palace, Hernandez was the only shining light for the Hammers and a lot will depend on him once more when the Hornets pay a visit.
