Mourinho to make 8 changes – Strongest 4-2-3-1 Manchester United lineup to face Yeovil Town

Predicted Manchester United Lineup To Face Yeovil Town In The FA Cup

Following their 1-0 win against Burnley in the Premier League during the weekend, Manchester United now turn their attention to the FA Cup where they play against Yeovil Town. United boss Jose Mourinho will be without the likes of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Eric Bailly, Michael Carrick and Daley Blind for the game.

One crucial talking point ahead of the game is whether Alexis Sanchez will end up making his debut. The Chilean arrived at the Old Trafford from Arsenal this week and crucially missed Arsenal’s third round defeat at the hands of Nottingham Forest, which means that he is not cup-tied and therefore eligible to play in the game.

United take on Yeovil on Friday in the FA Cup 4th round clash and will enter the game with a pretty healthy squad. Mourinho can be expected to make several changes to his side in a game which will mark his 100th match in charge of United, on his 55th birthday.

Younger players can also expect to receive game time here. The match could also mark Ander Herrera’s 150th appearance for United. The Spanish midfielder made his 149th United appearance which was also his 100th League game, as United beat Burnley last weekend.

Probable Manchester United XI

Formation: 4-2-3-1

GK – Sergio Romero

Romero has only made six appearances in all competitions this season and will be looking to strengthen his case to get selected in Argentina’s squad for the 2018 world cup.

RB – Matteo Darmian

There is a good chance that Darmian will end up leaving the club next summer but he should get to play here.

CB – Marcos Rojo

Rojo has fallen down the pecking order at United this season and should get an opportunity to play.

Victor Lindelof

CB – Victor Lindelof

The 23-year-old is likely to get a start as he looks to push towards becoming a first-team regular.

LB – Luke Shaw

Shaw will be hoping to further carry on his impressive form and make a case for inclusion in Mourinho’s long-term plans.

CM – Scott McTominay

The youngster should use the opportunity provided to him to try and impress and make a case for more first-team appearances.

CM – Ander Herrera

Herrera will be a vital player for United on the day, in what could be his 150th appearance in all competitions for the club.

LW – Anthony Martial

The game will be vitally important for Martial as he could be one of the players to see his game-time reduced following the arrival of Alexis Sanchez.

Jesse Lingard

CAM – Jesse Lingard

United will be looking for Lingard to continue his good form in order to record a comfortable win over the opposition.

RW – Juan Mata

Mata will be expected to supply Marcus Rashford with scoring opportunities.

ST – Marcus Rashford

The game could also prove to be vital for Rashford as he could suffer as well, following the arrival of Alexis.
