Nacho Monreal showed that he is more than a panic buy with a decent debut for the gunners against one of the most physical side in England, Stoke City. But even after all the new attention he is gathering in London, he is sentimental enough to return to Malaga to bid proper goodbye to his friends and well wishers there. Due to the urgency of the transfer made, he was unable to notify his friends about the deal during the deadline day.
Nacho Monreal only joined Malaga in 2011, but the club has clearly left a mark on the Spanish international. Nacho Monreal said “Whilst I’m super happy, I wish them well at Malaga, which is in my heart. I leave great friends and this will continue from a distance.”
