Mission Paulo Dybala: Here Are 3 Alternatives Who Chelsea Can Look Into If It Fails

Share

Antonio Conte’s top of the table Chelsea are not too far away from the title and the manager would have already started looking at options to improve the squad in the summer to help them with the challenges next season. The Blues have been linked to a number of star players recently and one name that is constantly doing the rounds is the Argentine star, Paulo Dybala. Conte is growing desperate for an attacking addition and is convinced that Dybala is the right man but interest from Real Madrid, and Juventus’ plans to renew his contract might see Chelsea miss out on the 23-year old. But that will not be the end of the world as there are a number of other stars who could improve the squad at the Bridge. Here are 3 such players Conte can target if he misses out on Dybala this summer:

Andrea Belotti (Torino FC):

One of the most prolific goalscorers in the Serie A at the moment, Belotti has been a target for the Blues for some time now. Having scored 21 goals and picked up 4 assists in just 26 appearances in all competitions this season, the 23-year old is an exciting prospect who could be on the move in the summer and Conte should do everything he can to land him at the end of the season. He is capable of playing as a target man and would be an able backup to Diego Costa. He can also take a place in the first team if Costa quits Stamford Bridge.

Belotti has been brilliant for Torino this season.

Alvaro Morata (Real Madrid):

Another player who has been linked with a move to the Bridge extensively in recent times is Spanish star Alvaro Morata. One of the most exciting talents in Spain, Morata has been in goal scoring form for Real Madrid this season but has not been able to cement a place in the starting XI under Zinedine Zidane this season. He might be looking for a way out and Conte would know that he can help Chelsea repeat their current season next time around. Surely, if Conte can land Morata, they will not feel too bad on missing out on Dybala this summer.

Morata is another option for Chelsea if they miss out on Dybala.

Andre Silva (FC Porto):

Another versatile star who can help Chelsea compete with the best next season is Portuguese star, Andre Silva. Capable of playing on either flank in attack, Silva is at his best playing as a centre-forward and is currently in the form of his life. He has 20 goals and 7 assists in less than 30 appearances in all competitions for the Portuguese outfit and has been one of the most influential forwards in Europe this season. If Conte prepares himself to meet the asking price of the player, the Italian can get his hands on the 21-year old. He’d surely turn out to be a great option even for the future.

Andre Silva might come in handy for Conte.
