Arsenal’s £42 million man returned to first team action last week when the Gunners travelled to KC Stadium to face Hull City. This was the German’s first start since the injury he sustained against Bayern Munich.
Though Ozil was not directly involved in Arsenal’s goal, throughout the 60 minutes he played, he was almost involved in all of Arsenal’s attacking play. Having continuously played in the first half of the season immediately after signing from Real Madrid, Ozil was stuck with injuries and fatigue crept in, which led to some mediocre performance from the midfielder. Ever since Ozil was on the receiving end of some criticism from the fans and media, however, we all know the German has got what it takes to be the best and help this Arsenal team to greater heights. Maybe his second season at the Emirates will give a clear picture.
