Predicted Swansea City XI to face Bristol City in the Championship

After picking up a hard-fought point against Marcelo Bielsa’s Leeds United, Swansea City will be aiming to continue their strong form with a win against Bristol City. Lee Johnson’s men make the trip to the Liberty Stadium after a 3-0 win against QPR in midweek.

Swansea are currently third on the table and another win would help them remain in the early race for the title.

Team news

Kristoffer Nordfeldt is still out sidelined, which means Erwin Mulder will once again start in goal. Apart from long-term absentee Wilfried Bony, Graham Potter has a healthy squad to pick from.

Probable Swansea City XI

Manager: Graham Potter

Formation: 4-3-3

Erwin Mulder (GK)

Every goalkeeper will be aiming to make an instant impact when called upon and that’s what Mulder has done. He can be an able deputy in the absence of Nordfeldt.

Connor Roberts (RB)

The right-back was deployed in a midfield role against Leeds United but should return to his favoured role in this game.

Mike Van Der Hoorn (CB)

The Dutchman has been a vital cog for Swansea City’s backline and will start in this game.

Mike van der Hoorn

Joe Rodon (CB)

The youngster is slowly and steadily adapting himself to the team. He has so far impressed the manager with his performances.

Martin Olsson (LB)

Olsson’s marauding runs down the left flank should provide the Swans with ample opportunities going forward.

Jay Fulton (RCM)

One of the Swans’ star performers so far, Fulton’s supply in the final third has been excellent. The Scot has also picked up 1 goal in his 4 appearances so far.

Bersant Celina (CM)

Swansea City’s pass master in the middle of the park should definitely be fielded in his favoured role.

Tom Carroll (LCM)

Carroll’s distribution for the team has been excellent. His short passing helps the team in maintaining stability in the middle of the park.

Joel Asoro (RW)

With 1 assist and 100% shot accuracy, Asoro will be aiming to maintain his strong form.

Oliver McBurnie (ST)

Swansea’s in-form striker is in the running for the top scorer spot and will be aiming to score in this game.
