Martial To Start – Strongest 4-2-3-1 Manchester United Lineup To Face Swansea

Predicted Manchester United Lineup To Face Swansea City In The Premier League

Manchester United kicked off their Premier League campaign this year with an emphatic win over West Ham in the first game week and will hope to continue their progress this weekend when they face Swansea City at the Liberty Stadium in a lunch-time kickoff on Saturday.

The Red Devils have a strong squad but Swansea made a decent start, keeping a clean sheet against Southampton and it will not be as easy for Jose Mourinho’s men to run away with all three points.

Team News

The Red Devils are still without a couple of full-backs in Luke Shaw and Marcos Rojo, with both of them out injured. Ashley Young remains the only other player unavailable for this fixture for Mourinho, who is expected to stick with a two-man midfield that was effective against the Hammers.

Manager: Jose Mourinho

Formation: 4-2-3-1

GK – David de Gea

The Spaniard was largely untested in the first game and will hope to have a similar outing this time around.

RB – Antonio Valencia

The new skipper of the side, Valencia had a superb time against the Hammers and should keep his place at right-back.

CB – Eric Bailly

The first choice centre back for Mourinho, Bailly has hardly shown any nerves since his move to England and should start this tie.

Nemanja Matic

CB – Phil Jones

Mourinho wants his newbie Victor Lindelof to slowly acclimatise to the English conditions and so should use Phil Jones as Bailly’s partner at the back.

LB – Daley Blind

The Dutch international is the only other option at left-back for Mourinho and he is expected to start ahead of Darmian.

CM – Nemanja Matic

The best player for United in the victory over West Ham, Matic will need to put in a similar performance against the Swans for his side to register another easy victory.

CM – Paul Pogba

The French midfielder also showed some signs of form and found the back of the net. He will hope to continue his good performances this season with another goal at the Liberty.

RW – Henrikh Mkhitaryan

The Armenian playmaker did not have much to do in the previous game but will have to be at his best for United to take all three points from this tie.

CAM – Juan Mata

The Spaniard put in a decent performance against West Ham and he will hope to have a similar game, to try and establish himself in the first team under Jose Mourinho.

LW – Anthony Martial

Taking the place of Marcus Rashford on the left wing should be Anthony Martial, who showed great composure and quality, coming off the bench in the previous game.

ST – Romelu Lukaku

One of the best players for United against West Ham, Lukaku bagged a brace on his PL debut for the Red Devils and will be huge threat to the Swansea defence.
