Predicted West Bromwich Albion Lineup To Face Manchester City

Like many of the clubs in the Premier League, Tony Pulis’ West Brom side are also in action this midweek as they face Manchester City in the penultimate game of the season. The duo was supposed to meet almost a month ago but City’s FA Cup journey sees them welcome the Baggies to the Etihad this midweek. Tony Pulis’ side have very little to play for, except a finish in the top half of the table.

However, Manchester City cannot take anything less than 3 points as Arsenal are lurking just behind them trying to sneak into the top-4. West Brom have been a tough side to beat this season but Manchester City will go into this game as favourites.

Team News

Gareth McAuley’s incredible run of 38 starts will come to an end in this game as he will miss out with a knee injury. Winger Matt Phillips is also expected to miss out while Hal-Robson Kanu will be assessed before the game.

Probable West Brom Playing XI:

Formation: 4-5-1

Manager: Tony Pulis

GK – Ben Foster

The first choice shot-stopper for Pulis, Foster had a decent night against Chelsea and will be high on confidence for this game.

RB – Craig Dawson

The 27-year old has been dependable and solid at the back for West Brom and should start at right back.

CB – Jonny Evans

The former Manchester United man will have to lead the defensive line in this game in the absence of his partner McAuely.

CB – Marc Wilson

Did a decent job replacing the veteran in the previous game at the heart of the defense and should partner Evans from the start this time around.

LB – Allan Nyom

Had a frustrating night against the English champions but he has generally been in good form and will be hard for Manchester City to beat this guy.

CM – Jake Livermore

Darren Fletcher might be rested for Baggies’ second game in four days. He should be replaced by Jake Livermore, who should play as the deepest midfielder.

CM – Claudio Yacob

Came on as a sub against Chelsea and added some mettle to the midfield. He will be the one replacing Fletcher in this lineup.

CM – Sam Field

The youngster put in a commendable performance against the Blues and deserves to start this game for the Baggies.

RM – Chris Brunt

His industry has been one of the major reasons for West Brom’s creativity on the wings and he will be a man to watch out for against Manchester City in this game.

LW – James McClean

One of the best players on the pitch for West Brom against Chelsea, McClean should star on the left flank for this trip to the Etihad.

ST – Solomon Rondon

With Hal Robson-Kanu still not 100%fit, Rondon remains the only option up front for Pulis and he is not a bad player to have, leading the attack for your side.

This is how they would line up:
