Manchester United have been associated with many big names in the recent times. However the most suitable one for the English Premier League and the most bang for buck would have been Gareth Bale.
However the Red Devils are facing a major setback in their pursuit of the Welshman as the current club Real Madrid has started contract negotiation with the player. He currently has a £300,000 per week contract with Real and as per Telegraph the club is set to tie him down for longer duration than his current three years remaining.
Real Madrid paid £85 million for him in 2013 and the player has won two Champions League trophy with Real Madrid. However, he has played in the English Premier League before where he rose to stardom. He would have been a fantastic purchase for Manchester United but now the Red Devils have to pay through their nose to land him if at all they manage to.
