Former PSV Eindhoven star Memphis Depay is reportedly wanted by the Italian outfit AS Roma and with him falling out of favor with Manchester United; the Dutchman could be seen moving away from Old Trafford.
Depay has made just four league appearances this term for Manchester United in the league under Jose Mourinho and is struggling to even feature in cup competitions for Mourinho’s side .
Tottenham, Everton and Ligue 1 side Marseille are all keen admirers of the winger. However, Roma are the first club to initiate a move with the Red Devils with a switch to Italy in the winter transfer window after Roma’s club sporting director Frederic Massara had got in touch with Manchester United over a move for Depay.
With Mohammad Salah ruled out for several months, the Serie A giants are looking for a viable replacement and the 22-year-old Manchester United star turned flop could use this move to restart his career. A loan move is offered by Roma which could also see them opt for a permanent transfer with a deal for €25 million.
Depay has played just 134 minutes of football over eight appearances in all competitions this season and has a contract until 2019 with Manchester United. And it appears that the Netherland’s international will leave the club in January.
