Manchester United midfielder Ander Herrera reacted after Manchester United sacked Louis van Gaal last Monday.
The Manchester club sacked the Dutch manager just after he helped the side to lift their 12th FA Cup title after 12 years. United came back after being 1-0 down to win the game by 2-1 beating Alan Pardew’s side Crystal Palace at Wembley.
The Spanish midfielder scored 4 goals and bagged 2 assists to his name with United in the last season. It is heavily reported that Jose Mourinho is about to take the reigns of the Old Trafford side.
Herrera is confident, that the FA Cup triumph will help his side to build something positive for the next season.
Speaking to United’s website after the FA Cup final, Herrera said: “We always believe we can win trophies.
“Even in the transition moments or not the best moments for the club, United can always win a trophy. Normally at other clubs when this happens you can’t win things, but United is a special club and we can do it.
“We are creating a very good team with a mix of young and experienced players.
“I am a team player and I can learn a lot from everyone and, as I said before, when you win a trophy everything is easier because you can build from that and the confidence is bigger. We are all very happy.”
