Manchester United Star Says, “I Am No Way Leaving United”

Recently, few rumors suggested that Manchester full back Rafael Da Silva may leave the red devils to join Corinthians in the January transfer window.

But, the 23 year old defender clearly confirmed that he has no plans to leave the Old Trafford club any time soon.

He said (to Brazilian publication Lancenet),

“I am not thinking about leaving Manchester United, especially since I did well last season,”

“There is no reason to leave now, I am playing here, I am a starter and I don’t intend to return to Brazil.”

Rafael who had made over 130 appearances for the Red Devils also spoke about his team mate Wayne Rooney’s transfer saga. The England international was heavily linked with Chelsea in the summer, but the move never happened.

When questioned about this, Rafael said,

“There was too much talk about Rooney leaving,”

“He was always silent about it. Now he is very relaxed.”

“He belongs to Manchester United. He has been here for so long now, almost a decade. The fans love him and I think he will stay here for a long time.”

Rooney is on good form at the moment scoring 5 goals already this season including few stunning free kicks.
