Why Manchester United Have To Sign James Rodriguez And Take Him Away From Chelsea’s Radar

Real Madrid star gets UK work permit ahead of Premier League transfer

Since his arrival in Europe with Porto, James Rodriguez became a superstar. Throughout these years the Colombian midfielder has displayed the best of his game with his clubs and also with his national team. Rodriguez started his European journey in a great way, but it hasn’t been great for the midfielder lately, as James hasn’t seen much of the game time in his current team, Real Madrid.

James was a great surprise when he played in Colombia and then in Argentina with Banfield, before jumping in Portugal to play with the “Dragoes”. James demonstrated in Porto that he was someone to see closely, and then he signed for Monaco, just before landing in Spain, with Real Madrid. Everybody knew it was going to be a hard job for James, as he was going to play with great stars, such as Cristiano Ronaldo.

His first season with Real Madrid was really good, as James play regularly with “Los Blancos”, but since Madrid changed their boss to Zinedine Zidane after sacking Rafa Benitez, James’ opportunities in the first team decreasEd. In recent days, we could hear that James is set to leave Madrid, and his next destiny can be England, where James is follow by some of the biggest teams in Premier League. Starting for the current leaders, Chelsea and finishing with the most successful team of the league, Manchester United.

Chelsea are reportedly interested in signing James, but as we said in previous articles, Rodriguez is unlikely to have a successful career playing for the Blues, and here is when the Red Devils come to play. People might be wondering what James has to do in Mourinho’s squad, but if you ask me, James has everything to be a successful player under the lead of the Portuguese boss. Despite the bad moment of Manchester, James has a big chance of changing the course of his career if he decides to land in Old Trafford.

As we said, James cannot make it in Chelsea due to the frenetic pace of Antonio Conte’s team and seeing the way in which Chelsea plays in comparison with James’ style; that experiment is very unlikely to pay off for both James and Chelsea. On the other side, Manchester United is a team that likes to play with a relatively slower pace, as they like having the ball most of the time possible and speeding up at the right moments and James is a player who knows how to play with the ball at his feet, with calm and patience.

Besides, in Chelsea, James wouldn’t have been able to play seeing the players Conte has, and mostly seeing that Eden Hazard owns Chelsea midfield. In change, playing in Manchester, Mourinho can use James as his only offensive midfielder, or use him alongside Mata or Mkhitaryan or maybe Mou could use all the three in the starting lineup in order to serve balls to the strikers.

As we said, Manchester United is the best option for James right now. Maybe people think Chelsea is the perfect team for him, but we’re very sure that James needs United, and United needs James. This can be a win-win transfer if Mourinho can make it.
