Manchester United set to offer Spanish international a deal, player already in England

Premier League giants Manchester United will offer David De Gea a new deal, as per claims from Spanish radio COPE. The Spanish international is set to return to pre-season training soon and Real Madrid will have to wait a bit longer to sign him, as he was forced back to Carrington by manager Louis van Gaal. The De Gea saga has been all over the news in recent times, though no deal has been confirmed till now.

Spanish newspaper AS stated in a report on Monday that the Red Devils wanted Sergio Ramos in exchange and their demand for the defensive superstar was holding up the deal from happening.

Another report in the same newspaper added that Louis van Gaal’s side were struggling to sign a replacement for their number one keeper, though Asmir Begovic was named their first choice.

COPE further added that the 24 year old goalie has been offered one last chance to stay at Old Trafford, though the Spaniard will look to complete his move to the Bernabeu, whether now or at the end of next season, remains to be seen.
