Reports from Italy suggest that Manchester United are readying a summer bid for Juventus midfielder Claudio Marchisio.
With ever-green Paul Scholes likely to retire at the end of the season, Ferguson feels there is a need to add much needed depth and creativity to United’s midfield. He is certain that Marchisio has all the qualities to be an Old Trafford legend.
But with Juventus doing well both in Serie A and in champions league, it will be a tough job to lure him away from the Turin club. Marchisio has netted seven times this season. Other than his goal scoring abilities, He also has great vision for picking a pinpoint, game changing pass anytime during the game.
Even though Manchester United are certain to win premier league this season, they are still short in some aspects of the game in-order to be considered as real challengers in Europe next season. Addition of Marchisio will show their ambition to win the Europe’s elite trophy again.
