Manchester United midfielder Anderson will leave Old Trafford in summer as he is struggling to earn a place in the starting lineup for the red devils, according to reports.

Anderson has started just five Premier League games out of 20 appearances that he made for United this season.

It is believed that coaching staff and the manager are disappointed with Anderson’s inconsistency and his fitness level. United are already planning to bring some news faces in Summer.

Anderson who was bought by United for £18m in 2007 could be line for a return to Portugal, where he played before.

Real Madrid midfielder Luka Modric is the player who is recently linked with United. With Scholes retiring and Anderson leaving, Manchester United’s main target will be to sign a midfielder in the coming transfer window.

Meanwhile, contract rebel Nani and out of form Ashley Young are also said to be on the list of players who are expected to leave in the window.
