Manchester United Make £32m Bid For Beast La Liga Defender

Ivory Coast and Villarreal defender Eric Bailly is set to become new Manchester United’s manager Jose Mourinho’s first signing of the summer transfer window. If reports from the Mirror are to be believed, the 22 year old centre-back is keen on making a move to Old Trafford. Bailly joined Villareal and immediately established himself as an integral part of the side playing a crucial role in the Yellow Marine finish 4th in the league and have an extended tenure in the Europa League.

However, a deal remains to be ironed out between the two clubs as Villareal are looking at a lump sum payment believed to be in the region of £30 million, while United want to incorporate an add on fee to the player’s transfer cost to mitigate their risk. It is known that Manchester City and Barcelona are keen on Bailey and United would be keen to pay a few extra bucks to close the deal at the earliest.
