After a terrible season Manchester United are looking to build a team that could be the challengers to the Premier League title next season. With the same aim, United’s incoming manager Jose Mourinho has been given plenty of financial support to bring in the players as he would prefer.
According to reports in ESPN, United are looking to bring in Atletico Madrid player Antoine Griezmann to Old Trafford next season. Mourinho is looking to make United’s game more exciting which as of now is slow and dull and not in anyways fruitful, thus Griezmann is Portuguese manager’s prime target this summer as the Frenchman is sure to bring the speed and excitement to the game.
An established player in the modern game, Griezmann is considered as one of the best on the planet, and while United are pretty serious in bringing the player into the squad, they will face fierce reluctance from Atletico Madrid before the club consents in letting go of the player.
Any transfer could be dependent on whether or not Diego Simeone remains at Atletico and according to reports, Simeone suggested last week that he may not continue with the Spanish club and sources have told ESPN FC that the Argentine has been sounded out by third-party representatives for the Paris Saint-Germain job – Reports ESPN
Along with Griezmann, United are also linked with France forward Kevin Gameiro. The attacker who plays for La Liga club Sevilla, helped his side to back to back Europa League titles as he netted in 29 goals in all competitions.
