Manchester United are looking to boost their academy and add to more success stories, as talented youngsters come up from the academy and make into the first team. United, working for the same is looking out to bring him into the Manchester United academy.
Burkhart, considered to be one of the most talented and brightest young players in the world, is often compared to Theo Walcott for his speedy pace. Burkhart currently plays for Swiss outfit FC Zurich and has also played for Under-16 level for Switzerland.
According to reports, Chelsea, Southampton and Arsenal are also said to be interested in the teen, however, United remain the favorites in the lot.
Red Devils academy bosses started talks with the player’s family in December but then they were not able to reach an agreement then. United are still interested in the 16-year-old player and will re-start talks with the player’s family in the summer.
