Manchester United has spent nearly £150 million this transfer window till date. While the signings have been hailed as brilliant from pundits to fans alike, the club hierarchy has told Jose Mourinho that he will have to sell players if he wants to purchase more.
Already Paddy McNair and Danny Love have been sold to Sunderland but their combined transfer fee of £6 million will not make much of a difference to Manchester United’s balance sheet. There are reports that the Portuguese boss is willing to part with as many as 10 players now starting with Bastian Schweinsteiger.
The German has been given a clear indication that he does not belong in Mourinho’s plan for Manchester United’s future. Juan Mata and Adnan Januzaj also has been named as potential departures from Manchester United. It is believed that Mourinho wants an experienced defender to guide Bailly and Smalling in order to create a stable defense line in the team.
