Manchester United are close to completing the deal for Benfica midfielder Victor Lindelof, for a move to the Old Trafford.
The player has been an important part of Benfica’s league success this season making 30 appearances for the club. Further reports from Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet claim that United have made an offer of £20 million for the 21 year old player and are expected to complete the deal soon.
According to reports from Portuguese outlet Record, Benfica are willing to receive any amount north of £15million for the player.
Further United may face strong competition from Barcelona, who are also keeping tabs on the player.
The player was also rumored to be moving to Middlesbrough, during the January Transfer window, although the club being a second tier one, did not provide a tempting option for the player, who decided against the move.
