Manchester United and one other ideal destination that West Ham’s star signing can consider in the summer

Javier Hernandez

Two ideal destinations for Javier Hernandez to consider in the summer

Javier Hernandez has had a topsy-turvy career so far. His time at Manchester United was spent largely playing as in impact sub and he truly thrived in that role. The fans loved Chicharito and he loved coming in during the dying minutes of the game to net a goal or two.

However, his tryst with the club saw a tragic end once Sir Alex Ferguson announced his retirement. Once David Moyes took charge, the manager shipped him out and the player eventually joined Bundesliga club Bayer Leverkusen.

After spending a couple of fruitful seasons with the club, he forayed back into the Premier League with West Ham United. However, his time with the Hammers has not been the best so far. With Moyes in charge of the club, Hernandez has been allowed time on the field but his performances have lacked spunk. He has shown promising signs on certain occasions but his long-term future at the club is uncertain.

There were certain rumours suggesting that he might leave in the recently concluded January window but the Hammers were hit by a wave of injuries to key attackers and the player stayed.

That said, he might look to exit the club in search of better opportunities in the summer. Given his experience and skills, it won’t be tough for Hernandez to find a new home and with that in mind, here are two ideal summer destinations for the lethal Mexican.

Javier Hernandez

Besiktas

Besiktas have been linked with a move to sign Hernandez after selling Cenk Tosun to Everton. Tosun was quite an influential figure for the Turkish giants and with reports suggesting that they have made an enquiry for Hernandez, the Mexican star might be open to a move.

In order to progress higher up the points table, Besiktas could really use a player as effective as Hernandez and given his vast experience, he will be able to fit right in. Hence, given a choice, Chicharito must definitely consider moving to Besiktas and could be as popular as players such as Robin van Persie.

Manchester United

This might seem far-fetched but United could really use a poacher like Hernandez. He put in some of his best performances as an impact sub for the Red Devils and with Romelu Lukaku acting as the main striker, Jose Mourinho can make room for Chicharito in the squad.

Hernandez was a fan favourite at Old Trafford and returning to his former club could provide scope to get his career back on track. There were a few reports suggesting this could happen and would be a good move for both parties given his record at Old Trafford.
