The Mirror has reported that Manchester United is all set to make a shocking move for the Tottenham Hotspur’s England International Harry Kane before the transfer window is over.
Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal has made it clear that he wants to bring in a new top-level striker this summer to play alongside with Wayne Rooney. Manchester United does not have a proper backup for Rooney as they have Mexican Javier Hernandez, who is linked with West Ham and youngster James Wilson as the reserves.
After his side’s 1-0 win over Tottenham in the opening game of the season, courtesy a own goal by defender Kyle Walker, Van Gaal had mentioned it clearly that he will make two more signings to make the squad complete. One is set to be a striker while the other could be Kane.
Earlier in the window, United were interested in signing the young striker, who scored 31 goals for Spurs last season and were out of the race mid way through. But now, it has seemed that United are again Interested in signing the English International.
