Manchester City should not hesitate to sign Aaron Wan-Bissaka

According to the Mirror, Manchester City are closely monitoring the performances of Crystal Palace’s right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

The 20-year-old has impressed the Sky Blues with a series of eye-catching displays in the Premier League this season and if you are one who is up for a bit of fun in the gambling world, have a look at the bovegas free spins, who are offering the best value for money when it comes to gambling.

In fact, he has been one of the best right-backs in the top-flight this season, starting each of Palace’s eleven games in the league.

The England U21 defender was handed his senior debut last season in February and the youngster grabbed his opportunity with both hands, coming up with impressive performances against some of the top six sides in the Premier League. He has retained his place in the eleven thereafter and has been one of the breakout stars of the Premier League this term, taking his game to a new level under the stewardship of Roy Hodgson.

A look at Wan-Bissaka’s stats would reveal that he has outperformed some of the best right-backs in the Premier League. The 20-year-old averages a staggering 4.4 tackles, 2.7 interceptions and 3.4 clearances per game this season. To go with his defensive numbers, he averages 2.3 dribbles per game, which shows that he loves to take on defenders in the other half as well.

Suffice to say, he is a modern-day offensive-minded full-back who has the ability to contribute equally to both attack and defence. And that is exactly why Manchester City should place him at the top of their list of priorities next summer. The Citizens are not desperately in need of a right-back at the moment with English international Kyle Walker and Brazilian Danilo in their ranks.

However, that should not stop them from pursuing interest in the talented 20-year-old. Danilo has been sidelined for long periods this season due to recurrent injuries and Pep Guardiola had to call upon John Stones to operate as a makeshift right-back when Kyle Walker returned from the international break with an injury.

Wan-Bissaka, who has starred for Palace this season with man of the match displays against  Fulham and Huddersfield Town, is a technically-gifted full-back who doesn’t hesitate to put his foot out when needed. He is an excellent tackler and uses his sharp anticipation to time his tackles to perfection.

The 20-year-old rarely seems to mistime his challenges and has a very calm head on his shoulders for his tender years. A fleet-footed full-back, Wan-Bissaka also has the ability to combine his lightning pace with his subtle acceleration and silky dribbling to add impetus to the attack from the flanks.

He is a player with a huge potential and Manchester City should not waste any time in snapping him up next summer. Citizens need to build a formidable squad to achieve success not only in the Premier League but also at the European stage. Wan-Bissaka isn’t a finished product yet but he has all the attributes to play a key role for the Sky Blues in the years to come.
