Manchester City should definitely make the move for Cengiz Under
According to ESPN, Manchester City are interested in making the move for Roma midfielder Cengiz Under. The Turkish international broke onto the scene with the Serie A outfit last season and has continued to show a meteoric rise in his performances.
As a result, a number of clubs have been linked with the player, including a host of Premier League outfits. Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal are all said to be in the hunt for Under’s signature. Enquiries have been made regarding a transfer in January as well (h/t ESPN).

They lifted the Premier League title in record-breaking fashion last season and will surely deliver more trophies in the years to come.
Under would add further depth to the Manchester City city attack that is already a force to reckon with. The champions have scored a whopping 45 goals across their 16 league games this season and only succumbed to their first defeat against Chelsea over the weekend.
The Turkish international definitely possesses the ability to buy into Guardiola’s style of football at the Etihad. He can play on either flank and will provide the manager with more options when picking his matchday squad.
Under is the kind of player who likes to create chances and make things happen in the final third. Though Manchester City already possess a flurry of top attacking talent in the squad, its Under’s passing ability that will make him stand out.
The midfielder has scored 2 goals and provided 3 assists in 13 league appearances this season. He has also picked up 1 goal and 2 assists in 5 Champions League appearances. Under can shoot, pass and take on defenders effortlessly in the final third. (Stats courtesy – Whoscored)
The Turkish international is known for his inswinging crosses into the box after cutting inside. The likes of Leroy Sane, Raheem Sterling and Sergio Aguero will surely thrive off the early supply he provides. Guardiola has always been a fan of players who are aware and good with the ball at their feet and that’s what Under is all about.
Manchester City should definitely make the move for Cengiz Under in January. Roma are said to have valued the player between £40 million to £50 million and will only entertain any offers in that region. The champions must break the bank for this one.
