Luhukay to make 2 changes – Predicted 3-5-2 Sheffield Wednesday line-up to face Reading

Predicted Sheffield Wednesday Line-up To Face Reading In The EFL Championship

Sheffield Wednesday have been on a great run of form recently, with four wins in their last six games, and find themselves jumping up the league. Unfortunately, there is no way they will get to the playoffs now, so the goal is just to finish as high as they can.

They come up against a Reading side who are still fighting the threat of relegation and with one side with a lot more at stake, it will be interesting to see how this game pans out.

Probable Sheffield Wednesday XI

Manager: Jos Luhukay

Formation: 35-2

Joe Wildsmith (GK)

Wildsmith had a terrible game against QPR but more than made up for it with his performance against Hull. He made some vital saves to keep a clean sheet and earn his side the victory.

Frederico Venancio (CB)

Another solid centre-back who has played well this season for the Owls. He fits in on the right-hand side of the back-three.

Daniel Pudil (CB)

The 32-year-old has a lot of experience and looks very comfortable at the back for Sheffield Wednesday.

Tom Lees

Tom Lees (CB)

The 27-year-old looked excellent against Hull and won nearly everything in the air. An integral part of the back-three.

Jack Hunt (RWB)

Hunt had an excellent game against Hull and even weighed in with an assist from the right-hand side. He also looked solid in defence.

George Boyd (LWB)

Boyd has been solid when he has played in the left wing-back position. He has looked good defensively and has also got forward when he has had the opportunity.

Joey Pelupessy (CM)

Pelupessy will be looking to improve after a poor showing last time out against Hull. He will be looking to be more involved in this game and get on the ball.

Adam Reach

Adam Reach (CM)

The central midfielder works well in both the attack and defence, striding forward against Sunderland but sitting back in the previous game at Hull and breaking up the play well. Very versatile.

Barry Bannan (CM)

Another player who has been injured a lot of the season but he has come back in and has started to play well again. Passes the ball well and is strong in the centre of the park.

Fernando Forestieri (ST)

Forestieri is now back from injury and is back in the first-team. He is really up for football again and has 2 goals already in the limited time he has played. A live wire up front.

Atdhe Nuhiu (ST)

The 28-year-old has had a good season for the Owls, despite not playing many games. He has 8 goals and 4 assists in 13 starts. Will be hoping for a few more before the end of the season.
