Paudie is currently on a season-long loan at Bradford City.

The Irish centre-back joined the Whites in 2017 and was loaned to Blackpool the following season, where he didn’t make the desired impact.

The former Limerick defender, moved to the Bantams earlier this year in January.

He was once sidelined for months, following restrictions for the club to allow only five loanees in the playing 11.

But the Irish youngster has proved his worth when the opportunity came knocking on his door.

He was at the heart of the defence against Doncaster, not allowing the opposition strikers to have an easy outing.

Despite ending on the losing side, the fans of the Bantams were full of praise for the defender’s spectacular display, with some making comparisons to Italian star Cannavaro.

This would definitely urge Gary Bowyer to make Paudie his first-choice centre-back in the upcoming games.

Future at Leeds

The Irish man possesses great prowess, yet he wouldn’t currently be winning a place at his parent club, which is overflowing with quality defenders.

Marcelo Bielsa

At the same time, the odds are high for the Whites to play in the Premier League next season.

However, if Paudie keeps excelling at this rate, there will certainly be a place for him under Marcelo Bielsa.
