Louis Van Gaal promises key role for Manchester United Target

Barcelona winger Pedro Rodriguez was promised a key role in manager Louis Van Gaal’s new-look 4-3-3 formation. Pedro has been linked to a move with Manchester United since he has become a reserve player for Barcelona ever since Neymar arrived to the Camp Nou in the summer of 2013.

According to Van Gaal’s plans, Pedro will team up alongside fellow newbie Memphis Depay and current Manchester United captain Wayne Rooney in the front line. It is also rumoured that Pedro will be given the Prestigious number 7 jersey that will be vacant after the departure of Angel di Maria to Paris Saint-Germain in the next few days.

However, Barcelona manager Luis Enrique has said that he wants Pedro to stay although he cannot promise him a spot in the starting XI. I want him to stay. If there are changes, that will be down to the player. He’s a fantastic, top-class player who won everything and showed for club and country what he can do. It’s not nice to talk about negatives, I like to think things will work well. Maybe some players might leave, but right now, there’s nothing to comment on, Enrique said.
