Burnley, in their return to the league, have held their own so far while Bournemouth too have been a side to watch out for. It has been a story as usual for Sunderland who are stuck at the other end of the table along with Hull City, Swansea City and Crystal Palace as they look to save their season.

This season, we have witnessed some excellent individual performances by the best of the players. Robert Snodgrass’ hot streak for Hull, a battling Jermain Defoe at Sunderland, Alexis Sanchez all fired up, there have been some brilliant individual displays throughout. The Spaniard has been a man reborn under new the management of Antonio Conte this season. The on-field antics have taken a backseat and he has been in the limelight only for his brilliant performances for Chelsea, unlike the past years.

Costa is the current top scorer in the league with 14 goals from 19 games and has been the key man in Chelsea’s solid season so far. He has delivered the goods on a consistent basis and has stepped up when needed the most, scoring crucial winners against the likes of West Bromwich Albion, Crystal Palace during their 13-game unbeaten run. The newly added dimension of support play to his game has been a delight to watch and has taken him a notch higher.

If Chelsea are to continue to keep a stronghold on their top spot, Costa will have a huge role to play.
