Liverpool Transfer News: Striker Target Is Closing In On A Move, Although Bad New For The Reds

Liverpool have already purchased several players this season and have been tracking many more. Jurgen Klopp wants the new Liverpool team to play to his liking and obviously wants players who can contribute as per his plan.

One player Liverpool have been reported to be keeping a close eye on is Jese Rodriguez from Real Madrid. The Reds were keen to bring the Spaniard to Anfield but as per The Express, have received a major blow in their pursuit. The French publication has published a report where they have spoken to Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane and the Frenchman seemed to have confirmed that Jese will be moving to PSG instead for an estimated deal worth of £21 million.

However, L’Equipe report is based on an interview of Zidane with beIn Sports where he says that PSG feels like an ideal place for Jese to score many goals. The Spaniard has developed into a fine player but faces stiff competition from the likes of Ronaldo, Bale to find first team football.

“[The deal is] not closed but is on the way. Is PSG is an ideal place for him? I think yes, he is going to score many goals,” Zidane said. “I hope he does well, but Madrid is home.”
