Liverpool supporter creates thread highlighting how VAR hasn’t always gone their way

Liverpool saw a goal ruled out by VAR in the win over Crystal Palace on Saturday

Liverpool have been involved in several VAR calls this season already.

VAR is being used for the first time in the Premier League this season. However, several calls have been questionable.

The offside decisions from several games have been perplexing, to say the least. Liverpool have been on the end of one or two of such calls but had some luck in the win over Crystal Palace.

James Tomkins thought he scored in the first half. VAR, however, ruled that goal out by the Crystal Palace defender.

Dejan Lovren had been pushed in the box, just before the ball went off Tomkins’ head.

The replays proved that the call was right, but some quarters have suggested that the Reds are getting the rub of the green.

That insinuation didn’t stand well with one Liverpool supporter on Twitter. SamuelLFC created a threat on all that hasn’t gone the way of the Reds.

Nine calls that have affected the Reds

The Twitter user shared some penalty decisions which haven’t gone the way of the Reds.

The UEFA Super Cup against Chelsea and Champions League clash against Napoli saw a couple of questionable penalties given against them.

One more decision that went the other way was the Roberto Firmino goal against Aston Villa.

The user tweeted more examples of incorrect calls for the Reds.

Reds keep on winning

Liverpool haven’t let any of these issues harm their chances of winning the Premier League for the first time.

They sit eight points clear at the top and haven’t lost a league game this season either.

Jurgen Klopp’s men don’t know when to give up too. They always seem to find a goal late in the game and get the three points.

Palace were the latest side to face that with Roberto Firmino scoring in the final minutes. Wilfried Zaha had equalised late on, however, the Brazilian scored from a corner to hand the Reds all three points.

The next game for the Reds is against Napoli in the Champions League and could see more late drama at Anfield.
