Liverpool are in the midst of a remodeling and one of the likeliest casualty looks to be Christian Benteke. The Belgian striker joined the Reds from Villa a year ago and ended the season as a bit part player rather than a key figure.
He could not match the expectation of Brendan Rogers and later Jurgen Klopp. Now Mirror tells us that Benteke is wanted by Crystal Palace and West Ham United. Alan Pardew, manager of Crystal Palace, missed out on higher position in the Premier League because of their lack of firepower towards the end of the season.
They started their campaign in an impressive form, but could not sustain the momentum. West Ham United on the other had nearly qualified for the Champions League and has the chance to play in the Europa League next season. They want to get their acts together in order to do that.
This has prompted both the clubs to be interested in Benteke, who we feel Klopp will not mind selling.
