Liverpool Opinion: Can Abdulkadir Omur make an impact at Liverpool?

The Mirror has reported that Liverpool are chasing Abdulkadir Omur as the Reds look to add more creativity to their side. The 18-year-old is easily Trabzonspor’s best youth starlet and his rise in recent months has been simply incredible.

The Turkish international has only produced 7 goals so far this season, but it’s his ability to change a game that has seen a few big sides chase him.

A versatile player, the teenager has the ability and the skill to play anywhere across the midfield, which he has done so on more than one occasion for Trabzonspor.

Moreover, Omur’s creativity and intelligence in the final third is exceptional, which has been witnessed on more than one occasion over the last few years. While the teenager can be inconsistent and gets frustrated very often, that could change under the right manager.

For Liverpool, however, if there is one player who needs to replaced, it’s Adam Lallana, and few people replace him as well as Abdulkadir Omur would.

Like the former Southampton star, the youngster is versatile, agile enough to play out wide and is even as lethal as Lallana was before his issues with injuries.

Any move, however, could see the Reds battle against Manchester City (Mirror) once again, as the Cityzens look to add to their stable of youngsters. But given the Cityzen’s history with young stars, it does give Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool an edge over their Premier League rivals.

Jurgen Klopp’s insistence to give younger players a chance has paid off in spades.

The likes of Trent Alexander-Arnold, Andrew Robertson and Joe Gomez at Liverpool, along with Mario Gotze, Marco Reus and Ilkay Gundogan among others at Dortmund all showcase the German’s ability with youngsters.

It’s a proven record and one that Abdulkadir Omur needs to keep in mind when he chooses his next club.

If and when he does decide to leave the Turkish league, Omur would have the Premier league at his feet, with Liverpool and Manchester City in the hunt, joined by Leicester City (h/t Sun).

But the move has to be right, otherwise, the young starlet will risk imploding his burgeoning career. He has revealed that he would like to play European football (CNN Turk) in the near future but any move will come with its own risk.

However, when UEFA describes someone as a cross between Lionel Messi and Gheorghe Hagi, there is bound to be more rewards than risks.

Tom Landry once said "Football is an incredible game. Sometimes it's so incredible, it's unbelievable." Football is and always will be the beautiful game. What every child understands, yet every adult struggles to, is that it is a game that defines the nature of the universe. But that's just me.
