Liverpool reviving interest in signing this 20-year-old star from Klopp’s former club would be a fantastic move

Why Liverpool should rekindle their interest in Jacob Bruun Larsen

Liverpool comfortably beat Arsenal in a fairly dominant performance over the course of 90 minutes. Once again, their famous front-three continued to show the world why they’re considered the most frightening trio.

As the Reds continue to hunt for that elusive Premier League trophy – and hold onto that Champions League trophy – they’ll have to keep all 3 of those players fit.

It will be difficult to find players in the market of the same quality, which is why they didn’t spend much in the transfer market.

One player linked with Liverpool in the summer was Borussia Dortmund’s Jacob Bruun Larsen. The Dane is only 20 and at the perfect age to develop further.

He’s also extremely versatile as he can cover in for any of the front-three, having played in all three forward positions. Last season, he made a bright start but Dortmund were in a surprising title race and his inexperience led to senior players being preferred ahead of him.

He scored 3 goals and registered 3 assists and that will improve over time. He also has the energy to play in Jurgen Klopp’s system. It’s unrealistic to expect the front-three to stay fit while also performing at such high levels throughout the season and Klopp will need options off the bench.

Liverpool should rekindle their interest in the young Dane if the opportunity arises. He’s got all the raw attributes to really shine in at Liverpool. The pressure of competing in all the big competitions will also help.
