Liverpool Ready To Steal Ex-Arsenal Target

Latest on the transfer mill is that Liverpool turn their attentions to try an sign Arsenal’s Spanish target, Federico Fazio. Once scouted by Arsene Wenger as a reinforcement for Kolo Toure, the Argentine defender snubbed the move and decided to stay in Spain.

According to a reports it is now rumoured that Liverpool are set to move their interest towards the Sevilla centre-half. Seville-based daily Estadio Deportivo have also confirmed the news that Brendan Rodgers have marked Federico Fazio in top of his potential defensive reinforcements. Sevilla are willing to allow the player if they receive the right amount of money for the transfer and anything above  €6m would do the trick for the Reds. 

After failing in their attempts to land Molde defender Forren who opted to join Southampton and have been unable to agree a fee for Lazio defender Mobido Diakite, Liverpool hope to finally sign up a defender by agreeing a cut-price deal for Fazio in the coming weeks.

Liverpool value Fazio for as €4m but the Spanish club insist they want above €6m and also have refused an offer for the same from Bundesliga outfit Hoffenheim. It is up-to Brendan Rodgers to decide whether or not he wants the Argentine Fazio
