Predicted 4-3-3 Liverpool XI to face Man United – Can the Reds continue unbeaten streak?

Liverpool prediction: Probable Liverpool XI to face Man United

League leaders Liverpool welcome Manchester United to Anfield on Sunday with the hopes of maintaining their unbeaten record in the Premier League.

The Reds have won all of their league fixtures this term, except for the one against Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side, whom they will be facing at the weekend. They have scored just 4 goals in their last three games, meaning Jurgen Klopp will expect his men to be at their lethal best.

However, United will be heading into the game after putting four past Norwich City in a dominant victory and will hope to keep the Reds in control.

Team News

Though Joel Matip and Dejan Lovren have returned to the squad, there are doubts over their fitness and are not expected to feature in the game. On the other hand, Naby Keita and James Milner are ruled out of the games due to injuries.

Probable Liverpool XI

Formation: 4-3-3

Alisson Becker (GK)

The Brazilian shot-stopper has been the first-choice since arriving at Anfield. He would be retained in goal against United.

Trent Alexander-Arnold (RB)

The youngster has firmly established himself under Klopp at right-back and there is no way he would be left out on Sunday.

Joe Gomez (CB)

He has filled in well in the absence of Matip and Lovren. A clinical performance against Tottenham last weekend should guarantee him a spot this time around.

Virgil Van Dijk (CB)

The Dutchman will be raring to put in another strong display in front of the home crowd. Helping the team to a clean sheet would be his priority.

Andy Robertson (LB)

A vital player, Robertson has provided so much going forward and has perfectly suited to the German tactician’s style. The same will be expected of him against the Red Devils.

Georginio Wijnaldum (LCM)

Wijnaldum will keep his place on the left of the midfield and will be hoping to make a mark this weekend. He has also improved a lot and has become a key player.

 Jordan Henderson (CDM)

England’s player of the year, Henderson will be leading the team from the front. He will be the key to stop United’s attack in the absence of Fabinho.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain (RCM)

Despite not starting regularly, the Englishman has made every opportunity count so far and would be expected to start ahead of Adam Lallana.

Mohamed Salah (RW)

Unable to score against Jose Mourinho’s side in the last outing, Salah will be hungry to get on the scoresheet at the weekend.

Sadio Mane (LW)

Having been crowned Africa’s best player recently, the Senegalese will be keen to guide his team to another three points. And he has to do well against Aaron Wan-Bissaka to achieve success.

The Brazilian’s link-up play and awareness makes him a vital player for the Reds. He should be starting without any second thoughts.
