Wijnaldun To Replace Lallana – Predicted 4-3-3 Liverpool Line-Up To Face Sunderland

Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool are back in action this weekend after being held to a goal-less draw at the St Marys by Claude Puel’s side in the last round. They will welcome relegation threatened Sunderland this weekend to Anfield to try and get back to the top of the table but the Black Cats are fresh from a victory against Hull City in the last round and will be full of confidence ahead of this trip to the Merseyside. Klopp’s side have made a superb start to the season but a few clubs have found a weakness already this season and David Moyes is expected to exploit that at Anfield making it hard for the Reds on the night to walk away with all three points.

Here is the predicted lineup that Liverpool might field for this game against Sunderland:

Team News:

Jurgen Klopp will be very happy with his current squad and their availability. Danny Ings and Adam Lallana remain the only players to miss out on this game while Joe Gomez may take some time to get match fit before jumping into the starting XI.

Formation: 4-3-3

Loris Karius:

The German has had a comfortable debut season at Anfield with Liverpool’s dominance and he should keep his place in the side for this game.

Nathaniel Clyne:

The English international is one of the most consistent players in his position and is an integral part of the squad at Anfield even for this game against Sunderland.

Joel Matip:

The summer signing for Liverpool has been one of the best defenders in the league this season and he should start this game against Sunderland at the weekend.

Dejan Lovren:

The Croatian has had his nervy moments at the back but he has been strong in general and should play at the heart of the defense for the Reds for this game.

James Milner:

The versatile Englishman has been used as a left-back this season to good effect by Klopp and he should keep his place in the side for this game against Sunderland.

Jordan Henderson:

The Liverpool skipper has been the best midfielder in terms of stats this season in the domestic league and he will hope to have a similar effect on this game at the weekend.

Gini Wijnaldum:

The new arrival from Newcastle United took his time to settle his nerves, but has now able to take the charges and with Lallana missing the game, the Dutch international is a sure starter.

Emre Can:

The German midfielder is in some fine goal scoring form in the last few games for the Reds and he should keep his place in the side for this weekend.

Sadio Mane:

The Senegalese winger is the highest goal scorer for the club this season and has been the most effective summer signing in the league. He should keep his place in the team for this game against Sunderland.

Roberto Firmino:

The Brazilian missed one of the very few easy goal scoring chances in the stalemate against Southampton and he will hope to get back on the scoresheet this weekend at Anfield.

Philippe Coutinho:

Though not at his best coming back from the international break, Coutinho has got enough rest before this game to have more of an impact at the weekend.
