Liverpool predicted line-up to face Tottenham in the Premier League

League leaders Liverpool will be aiming to continue their great run of form when they visit Tottenham on Saturday.

Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool sit comfortably on top of the league table, 13 points clear of their nearest title challengers, second-placed Leicester City, with a game still in hand.

Meanwhile, Jose Mourinho’s Tottenham have a big job in hand after a string of poor results in recent weeks saw them lose ground on fourth-placed Chelsea.

Liverpool still remain unbeaten in the league and look like the favourites to win the title, however, Spurs are no pushovers and could well spring a surprise given the quality players they have at their disposal.

Team news

Manager Klopp will be without utility man and veteran James Milner after he sustained a serious muscle injury in their last game against Everton in the FA Cup.

Meanwhile, Joel Matip, Dejan Lovren, Nathaniel Clyne, Fabinho, Nabi Keita, and Xherdan Shaqiri remain ruled out as they recover from their respective injuries.

Liverpool predicted line-up

Formation: 4-3-3

Alisson Becker (GK)

The Brazilian shot-stopper has looked confident in recent weeks since his return from injury and has kept 5 clean sheets in 12 games.

Trent Alexander-Arnold (RB)

Currently one of the best full-backs around, the youngster is already the league’s leading assist-provider among defenders, with 8 to his name.

Joe Gomez (CB)

With Matip and Lovren sitting out, Gomez has made the position his own with some solid displays at the back and will surely retain his place.

Virgil van Dijk (CB)

An inevitable presence at the back for the Reds and one of the first names on the team sheet.

Andrew Robertson (LB)

Another player responsible for Liverpool’s rich vein of form this year. The Scottish full-back is a sure starter and has made 6 assists so far.

Jordan Henderson (CDM)

The Reds skipper has been playing a little deeper in the absence of the injured Fabinho and has carried out the responsibility to full perfection.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain (RCM)

Chamberlain could get the nod this time, with Milner and Keita still nursing their injuries. He has delivered when given a chance and is likely to start.

Georginio Wijnaldum (LCM)

He would offer Liverpool the creativity that they need in the middle and can pop up at times with goals at crucial junctures.
