Liverpool Player Ratings vs Sion
Premier League outfit Liverpool made the trip to the Stade de Tourbillon on Thursday to compete against Sion in their match in the Europa League. The Merseyside club were hoping for a win on the night and made a positive start to the game with some good early chances to score coming their way. Despite that, the finishing was not really at the top level and there were no goals in the game at all. The game ended 0-0 and new Kop boss Jurgen Klopp would be disappointed by this Reds’ performance, as he might have expected a win for his side. The home side put in a fighting performance and managed to get something out of the match, as the game ended in a goalless draw.

Simon Mignolet: 6/10
Had to do well in order to prevent the opposition from scoring from the set-pieces and needed to be certain, though the game did not produce too many great chances which might have threatened his goal.
Nathaniel Clyne: 5/10
Needed to be more aggressive in the game and could have added a much-needed flare to his side’s attack, as they looked to push for a goal. Defending was not really a problem and he did his job well.
Kolo Toure: 7/10
Defensively looked sound and was managing the back-line well, though there were not really that many threats on the night.
Dejan Lovren: 6/10
Defender quite well and did not allow the opposition attackers to get too much free space in the game, as he was quite aggressive in the match.
Brad Smith: 6/10
The left-back was full of energy and looked really confident, as they tried to push ahead at times in search of goals. Created the best chance of the night for his side, though once again the finish was not up to the mark.
Jordan Henderson: 6/10
The skipper helped the Merseyside outfit dominate the match from his midfield role and keep creating chances with his movement round the pitch.
Roberto Firmino: 4/10
Did not make any impact in the game at all and was quite a weak-link in the Reds’ attack. Looked tired and lazy in the game and was not really involved in anything.
Emre Can: 6/10
Did well in his defensive role, though was not really that great when his side tried to attack in search of an opening goal.
Adam Lallana: 6/10
Looked to claim more possession of the ball, though when he did have it at his feet, he moved it around quite well.
James Milner: 6/10
Looked impressive in the game and co-ordinated well with Smith to create goal scoring opportunities in the match, though nothing really materialized eventually.
Divock Origi: 5/10
Played his part in most of the moves made by the visitors, though the end product was not the best.

Philippe Coutinho: 5/10
Replaced Milner for the last half an hour and played a super flick into the path of Origi, though the chance was wasted.
Jordan Rossiter: 5/10
Came on for Henderson with 13 minutes left in the game and did not make any major impact.

Substituted for Firmino in the last minute of normal time.
