Liverpool Opinion: Two Most Effective Transfers That The Reds Have Completed In Recent Times

Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool are having some decent time in the Premier League. They still have a great chance to qualify for the Champions League next season and will need to be on their toes in the upcoming transfer market to try and keep progressing in the years to come. The Reds have made some questionable signings over the years and have spent a lot of money on players who do not fit at the club.

However, they have also found some genuine stars who are still helping them this season. Liverpool are not traditionally a club which spends big on European players but they have certainly added some quality players to the first team recently. Here are two of the best such signings from Liverpool in recent times:

Adam Lallana:

The former Southampton skipper was one of the first players that Liverpool decided to replace Luis Suarez with. Liverpool spent £25m on the 28-year old, who has taken his time to adjust to the challenges at Anfield. He was named the player of the year for the national side for 2016 and is one of the most inform players in the domestic league.

He has already played 85 games for Liverpool, scoring 16 goals, and is integral to the plans for Jurgen Klopp at the club. A fleet-footed player who knows his way around in the midfield, Lallana has seven goals and seven assists to his name and is one of the most effective players for the club at the moment. He had two quite seasons before but Lallana has certainly stepped his game up and stands as one of the most effective transfers by Liverpool in recent times.

Sadio Mane:

It is hard to ignore the amount of difference one player has got to this Liverpool lineup. The Reds have lost just one game with Sadio Mane in their starting XI, a stat which tells its own tale. Liverpool broke their transfer record at the start of the current season to land yet another player from the St Marys. Sadio Mane moved to Anfield last summer for a fee of £34m, making him the most expensive African Player.

He has ever since scored 13 goals and has picked up eight assists in all competitions and stands as the top goal scorer for the club, in spite of missing a big chunk of the season. He has made just 27 appearances for his 13 goals in the league and his pace and versatility was what Liverpool missed in the previous season.
