Liverpool has been chasing Piotr Zielinski for a while now and according to reports from Liverpool Echo, the Reds had recently made a bid for the player which seems to have been rejected by Udinese, the current club of Zielinski.
The main reason is because of a competitive offer from Napoli who are said to have offered cash plus player deal to Udinese. Liverpool is believed to have made an offer of £11.75 million for the 22 year old want-away player but Napoli has thrown in a player into the mix. Juan Camilo Zuniga has been offered to Udinese by Napoli in addition to some cash and other add-on benefits. Udinese owners, the Pozzo family also owns Watford City and would like to acquire Zuniga and loan him out to their Premier League outfit as they want to focus on the Premier League.
Also Udinese is said to be annoyed with the way Zilenski has expressed his interest to move to Liverpool publicly and thus looking to get a better deal on the player.
