Liverpool FC: Lookout For These Three LFC Youngsters This Season

Liverpool football club have embarked a new philosophy under manager Brendan Rodgers from the last season giving more prominence to their youngsters. Some of their most premier young talents burst onto the scene last year and many are waiting in the line to do the same. We take a look at three such Liverpool players who have already grabbed the football world’s attention and have the potential of becoming superstars in the years to come.

Jordan Ibe

Ibe made his debut for the club last term in the ultimate game of the season against QPR and became an instant hit. He was instrumental in that game setting up a goal for Coutinho and also dropping back to defend his team when required. This prompted Rodgers to give him more opportunity in the pre season tour where he was one of the bright spots of the team. It may take some time for the 17 year old to feature regularly in the first team and get adjusted to the pace of the premier League, but Ibe certainly has all the qualities in him to do that. This season would show the world more of Ibe and the club management and the supporters would have close eyes on him.

Tiago Ilori

The 20 year old centre back joined the Merseyside club on the transfer deadline day from Lisbon and has been slated as one for the future. At 6ft 3in he is one physical specimen, the kind of which has so much more chance of making it big in the Premier League. Rodgers himself has stated that the inclusion of Ilori and Sakho on the last day of business would go on to solve the defensive problems of the team for the next ten years. It is quite a possibility that Ilori would not get too much opportunity this season to shine for the club, but would be determined to make an impact on whatever little chances that he gets.

Raheem Sterling

He may already be a familiar name among the Anfield faithful, but that cannot take away the fact that he is still only 18 years of age. Last season he played a major role in the Liverpool in the first half of the season, before wearing out after January. This season would be a make or break season for him as everybody would expect him to be a sensation for the club whenever he takes the field.
