It seems that a set of Liverpool fans have now gone berserk after the 2-1 loss at home. Yes, the Reds managed to lose their first game under new boss, as Alan Pardew’s Crystal Palace side proved to be too good for them in the game at Anfield. However, things really got awkward on Twitter, when a set of fans started blaming former skipper Steven Gerrard for the loss. It seemed not only funny but also stupid to see that the ex-England international was being targeted by the fans, who were pointing out at him to be the curse which had seen their team lose.
The club legend was now being mocked for making an appearance at the Merseyside, where he spent nearly his entire playing career.
Honestly, it felt disgraceful that such a loyal and decorated star of the game was being humiliated in such a way, by the fans of the same club that he loved.
Here are Tweets of some of the more decent fans first, after the loss:
Full-time, 2-1 to Palace. The unbeaten start had to come to an end sometime, not gonna dwell on it too much as long as we bounce back #YNWA

More concerned about Sakho. Without him the defence look lifeless. He is the leader. Hoping nothing is serious. #LFC — अंकित (@BeingAnkit_) November 8, 2015
So who was #LFC best / worst player? I’ll start: Best: Coutinho / Ibe Worst: Can / Benteke / Mignolet Retweet if you agree or let me know?
— Liverpool FC (@LFCblogster) November 8, 2015
another day Benteke takes at least 2 of his 4 chances especially the headers and this bellyaching and hand wringing is rendered moot #lfc — Barnsey (@Barnseysleftpeg) November 8, 2015
Rediculous, we’re not going to win every game. I’m sure Klopp learnt from this game which will make us stronger #LFC https://t.co/jehWpcrMfy

Further, there were the fans on Twitter who blamed Gerrard for their loss to Pardew’s side. Here are some of those tweets:
Gerrard isn’t even playing but I think we can all agree he’s responsible for this. The man’s cursed. — David (@lfcmaestro23) November 8, 2015
