Jurgen Klopp has made several purchases already but with several players hit with injury problem even before the start of the season looks like the Reds are going to keep on shopping till they are satisfied.
According to Express, the German manager wants to ensure enough depth in the defense and is eyeing a move for £20 million-rated defender Jonas Hector. The Cologne defender has been eyed after Lucas, Gomez and Sakho are all injured. When asked about his future transfer plans, he said that he is not sure if Liverpool is done with the transfer activities and will look into the matter.
Liverpool have already released several players like Toure, Skrtel and Allen this summer and Jurgen Klopp will be eyeing the summit of Premier League as the club looks to regain their position as English powerhouse. Defensive depth will obviously be needed and we can understand the pursuit of the likes of Jonas Hector.
