The Italian media has been reporting that Premier League outfit Liverpool are now moving a step closer in their chase for Lazio midfielder Keita Balde Diao. The Senegalese has been tracked by the Merseyside outfit for nearly the past one year or so, since the Reds decided to make an official bid for the superstar, last summer.
Roma newspaper Il Tempo further added that Brendan Rodgers’ side are looking to offer Fabio Borini plus a sum of €2m to complete the signing of the former Barcelona youngster.
Borini has failed to make an sort of major impact at Anfield, since signing from AS Roma and the club will now look to offload him this summer.
Keita does not get enough first-team action under manager Stefano Pioli and though the Serie A outfit are not too keen to sell, the Borini offer could be quite tempting for them. It would be difficult to predict the kind of impact that the youngster can have on Liverpool in the future, though Rodgers surely looks quite keen on a move.
